XML Data Source Support?

First, thanks a million for creating this tool. We use it all the time for deployments to various environments and it has proved very helpful. We have a new requirement to have a XML data source and I'm wondering if there is a way to set that in the data source setup in the .Config file. I don't see anything about it in the documentation. I did find that it will publish with a URL in the connection string, but requires intervention in order to set the data source type to "XML" after the deployment. Any help? Thanks, Chris

Chris,

the application currently already should support different data source types. Try adding an Extension element to the DataSource element:

<DataSource Name="DataSource1" Publish="true" Overwrite="false" TargetFolder="WMPortal" ReportServer="RS1">
    <ConnectionString>data source=Server1;initial catalog=DB1</ConnectionString>
    <Extension>XML</Extension>
    <!-- other data source configuration -->
</DataSource>

Regards, Gerke.

The <Extension> tag does not appear to work.

 [Ln 30 Col 8] The element 'DataSource' has invalid child element 'Extension'.

List of possible elements expected: 'CredentialRetrieval'.

[Settings]: 1 XML schema validation errors found in RSBuild settings.

When browsing the RSBuild.xsd, I do not see "Extension" anywhere.

Thoughts?
